VIP Kid ($1.1B)
VIP Kid
LingoAce and VIPKid are both online platforms for teaching children (early and school-age) foreign languages through live online video-lessons with teachers. Both platforms are based in Singapore but attract students from around the world and offer flexible schedules for both students and teachers.

But LingoAce (founded in 2017) initially specializes in teaching Mandarin Chinese but has also added other subjects, including English. It distinguishes itself by employing only certified professional teachers. In addition to online learning, it also operates offline training centers (Ace Academies).

VIPKid (2014) is originally created to teach English to Chinese children and primarily attracts teachers from the United States and Canada. The platform focuses on short, one-on-one (25-minute) lessons. Unlike LingoAce, it also provides a pre-built curriculum so teachers can focus on teaching. It also offers a dedicated VIPTeacher program for teacher training.
