LingoAce vs LingoBus

October 23, 2025
LingoAce and LingoBus are both language learning services for children. They offer digital platforms with live lessons and live teachers. They are suitable for ages 4-15 and use interactivity elements, multimedia content, gamification and entertainment methods to keep children engaged.

But LingoAce (founded in 2017) is a Singapore-based service that offers online courses of Chinese, English and mathematics. It has a database of (4000+) certified teachers and is pushing a blended (online and offline) format with physical learning centers in the US, Australia and elsewhere.

LingoBus (2017) is a Chinese service (owned by VIPKid) focused on teaching Chinese (Mandarin) to children abroad. It offers individual (one-on-one) lessons with Chinese native-speaking teachers. Teachers typically assign homework and students are also given access to an extensive digital library of books (the service partners with major Chinese publishers). Overall, the service is distinguished by its cultural component: children don't just learn the language but also get acquainted with the culture.
